Military Operation Against "The Party": Is Israel Waiting for the Green Light from America?

Military Operation Against

Eyes are still on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's visit to Washington, what will result from it, the possibility of reaching a ceasefire deal, and its impact on developments on the front in Lebanon. The "Times of Israel" reported today, Friday, that an Israeli official said, "Israel will not wait for the green light from the United States to carry out any military activity to push the party away from the borders." It added, "The United States understands that Israel will not allow the situation on the northern border to continue as it is." This information comes after reports from "Channel 12 Israeli" about a reserve intelligence officer in the Israeli border guard stating that "Netanyahu has gained full legitimacy in the United States for war in Lebanon," noting that upon his return to Israel, he will go to the military operations command and from there will begin the war on Lebanon. The "Times of Israel" adds that "Israel hopes to reach a solution through diplomatic measures, but it will not hesitate to take military action if that proves impossible."
