Al-Sinwar Informs Mediators That Participation in Negotiations Is Conditional on Israel Halting Its Operations

The American newspaper "The Wall Street Journal" reported that "Yahya Sinwar, the head of Hamas's political bureau, sent a message to mediators, indicating that if Israel is serious about negotiations and wants Hamas's participation, it must first stop its military operations in Gaza." The newspaper clarified that "the message was conveyed by Sinwar to Arab mediators on Monday evening," noting that "it is unlikely that Israel will comply with such a demand, as it has previously stated that it is committed to achieving its dual objectives of defeating Hamas and ensuring the return of prisoners."
