Following Spain's official recognition of the state of Palestine, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan stated that Madrid has stood on the right side of history. During a press conference of the Arab Islamic Committee regarding Gaza in Madrid on Wednesday, he said that "the time has come for the two-state solution." He added that "with the presence of a Palestinian state, security will be achieved," emphasizing that "a ceasefire in Gaza must happen immediately."
"Peace will only be achieved through the establishment of a Palestinian state," he stated. Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi described Spain's recognition of Palestine as "historic." He added, "We stand in solidarity with Spain in facing Israeli threats," noting that "Israel continues to violate international law without retreat." He also affirmed that "the war in Gaza must end and we must move towards a two-state solution," clarifying that "peace will only be achieved through the establishment of a Palestinian state."
