The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced today, Tuesday, that 18 Iraqis have died on Syrian territory since the beginning of this year due to repeated Israeli strikes on Damascus. The observatory stated, "The Israeli army targeted both Tal al-Jayba and an air defense base at the site, as well as Tal Um Horan, where Syrian forces and air defense forces are stationed in the western countryside of Daraa."
In conjunction with the Israeli attack, the regime's ground defenses attempted to confront drones flying in the area, but there has been no information about human casualties so far, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Since the beginning of 2024, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has recorded 55 instances where Israel has targeted Syrian territory, 39 of which were aerial strikes and 16 were ground attacks. These strikes resulted in the injury and destruction of approximately 111 targets, including weapons and ammunition depots, headquarters, centers, and vehicles.
