LBCI reported that the Public Prosecutor, Jamal Al-Hajjar, will begin listening to stakeholders in the electricity sector starting tomorrow amid the crisis that Lebanon has faced in recent days. Al-Hajjar's action follows a referral from caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, which also went to the Central Inspection and included the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Electricité du Liban, Kamal Hayek. According to the information, Hayek is preparing a file consisting of hundreds of pages detailing what he and the board have done to avoid the crisis that occurred, including letters directed to Prime Minister Mikati and the Ministry of Energy, asserting that the recent crisis was not a result of the past few days but rather the outcome of unresolved issues from up to four months ago.
