The hosts led in the first quarter 16-9, the second quarter 22-10, and the fourth quarter 15-13, while the third quarter ended in a tie at 17-17. Egyptian player Tarek El Helwani scored the highest points with 13. This evening, Lebanon will face Jordan, followed by the conclusion of the first round with a match between Egypt and Lebanon.
