Anger in Malaysia Over "Deleted" Haniyeh Video

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim accused "Meta" of cowardice on Thursday after his post on Facebook regarding the assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh was deleted, marking the latest dispute between the Malaysian government and the company over prohibited content. The Malaysian Prime Minister, who met Haniyeh in Qatar last May, stated he has good relations with Hamas's political leadership but no ties at the military level. He wrote on his Facebook page: "Let this be a clear and unequivocal message to Meta, stop this cowardice." Predominantly Muslim Malaysia is one of the leading supporters of the Palestinian cause, and Ibrahim had posted a recorded video of a phone call with a Hamas leader to express condolences for Haniyeh's death, but it was later deleted.
