The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, issued a decree to form a new cabinet headed by Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The new ministerial formation includes 13 ministers, as follows:
1. Fahd Youssef Saud Al-Sabah - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior
2. Sherida Abdullah Saad Al-Muasharji - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs
3. Dr. Imad Mohammed Abdulaziz Al-Ateeq - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil
4. Abdulrahman Badah Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi - Minister of Information and Culture
5. Dr. Ahmad Abdulwahab Ahmad Al-Awadhi - Minister of Health
6. Dr. Anwar Ali Abdullah Al-Mudhaf - Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment
7. Dr. Adel Mohammed Abdullah Al-Adwani - Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research
8. Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya - Minister of Foreign Affairs
9. Dr. Noora Mohammed Khaled Al-Mushaan - Minister of Public Works and Minister of Municipality
10. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Wasimi - Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs
11. Omar Saud Abdulaziz Al-Amro - Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Communications
12. Dr. Mahmoud Abdulaziz Mahmoud Boushaeri - Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, and Minister of State for Housing Affairs
13. Dr. Amla Hadi Haif Al-Huwaileh - Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Youth Affairs
The Emir of Kuwait announced on Friday the dissolution of the National Assembly and the suspension of certain constitutional provisions for a period not exceeding 4 years. The emirate decree stipulates that the Emir and the Cabinet will assume the powers of the National Assembly, and laws will be issued during this period through decrees.
