Israeli Finance Minister Warns Netanyahu of a "Big Trap"

Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich viewed the statement from mediators (the United States, Qatar, and Egypt) as a "serious trap," urging Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu "not to fall into this trap and not to agree even to the slightest deviation from the red lines that have been set." He stated, "Before the Nazi Hamas is destroyed, it is not really time for a surrender deal that would stop the war and allow them to rehabilitate and return to kill Jews again." He added, "Now is the time to release the long-held captives, and it is not really time to release the despicable who killed Jews."
