Libyan House of Representatives Decides to Suspend Implementation of Geneva Agreement

The Libyan House of Representatives announced on Tuesday evening the suspension of the political Geneva Agreement. Earlier, the House voted in favor of withdrawing confidence from the Government of National Unity in Libya and considering the commander-in-chief of the army as the President of the House. The spokesperson for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Blihq, stated that "the House voted in its official session on Tuesday unanimously to end the mandate of the executive authority that came from the preliminary phase." By voting today, the House, according to Blihq, considered that "Osama Hamad's government is the legitimate government until a unified government is chosen."
