Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has asked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to hold discussions regarding a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, with the participation of the full Cabinet, rather than the current war cabinet. The Israeli Channel "12" reported Gallant stating that "the discussions about the deal have broad national significance, extending beyond the issue of the terms for the return of hostages, and delving into the potential for slipping into a regional war." He added, "Therefore, the authority over how the negotiations proceed should lie with the full Cabinet." The current war cabinet includes Netanyahu, Gallant, Minister Ron Dermer, and Knesset member Aryeh Deri.
