Cairo's security forces succeeded today, Wednesday, in rescuing 80 passengers, including foreigners, from a tourist boat that ran aground in the Nile near the Maadi area. This came after a report was received by Cairo security regarding a tourist boat with 80 Egyptian and foreign national passengers stranded in the Nile in front of Osman's Towers in Maadi. Immediately, the waterway forces were notified and managed to refloat the vessel and evacuate the passengers after it ran aground. All passengers were safely evacuated without any injuries. A report of the incident has been filed, and the public prosecution has been informed of the incident, ordering investigations to determine the technical reasons behind the boat's grounding, as well as examining its licensing documents, its tourism activities, and ownership.
