Russia: Train Derails and Injuries Reported (Video)

Several passenger train cars derailed due to a traffic accident in the Volgograd region of Russia today, resulting in injuries, according to authorities. Volgograd Governor Andrei Bocharov announced that a passenger train collided with a truck at a railway crossing, causing the locomotive and 9 out of 20 cars to derail, based on initial information. The governor noted that there were 812 people on board the affected train, and the number of injured is being verified. Reports indicate that the driver of the Kamaz truck entered the railway crossing near the city of Volgograd and collided with a passenger train traveling from Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, to the city of Adler near the Black Sea coast.
