Southern Towns Under Israeli Bombardment

The situation in the south remains characterized by confrontations between Israel and "Hezbollah." Yesterday, the Israeli army intensified its artillery shelling starting in the morning, targeting the outskirts of the towns of Kfarhamam and Naqoura in Wadi Hamoul. The shelling later expanded to include the towns of Rashaya al-Fukharr, Hamoul, Zibqin, Al-Labuna, Harsh Merkabah, and the eastern outskirts of the town of Khyam. The fall of several shells near the outskirts of the town of Rab Tehathin towards the town of Taybeh ignited a fire in the area.

In the afternoon hours, the Israeli warplanes launched a series of synchronized airstrikes targeting the towns of Aita al-Shaab, Yaroun, Markaba, Adaisseh, Tirehfa, and Jabine. Additionally, an airstrike targeted a house near the site of "UNIFIL" forces in the town of Adaisseh. The Israeli army stated that "our fighter jets bombed several military facilities belonging to Hezbollah in the towns of Adaisseh, Yaroun, and Marouhine." Reports in the evening indicated the death of two individuals in an Israeli airstrike on Aytroun. Meanwhile, sirens sounded in the settlement of Kiryat Shmona and its surroundings. Channel 12 reported on the launch of about 10 rockets from Lebanon towards the settlement of Zar'it in western Galilee without any injuries.

"Hezbollah" announced the targeting of a Merkava tank with a guided missile at the Marj site, resulting in its destruction and casualties among its crew. They also launched an attack on targets at the Zar'it barracks with guided missiles and artillery shells, subsequently targeting the Zibdine site in the Shebaa Farms and a building for Israeli soldiers in the Manara settlement, followed by two buildings for soldiers in the Metulla settlement and two more buildings for soldiers in the Shatila settlement.

In parallel, the spokesperson for the Israeli army, Avichai Edrei, announced that "the army attacked last night through aerial and artillery bombardment, targeting Hezbollah's positions in five areas of southern Lebanon." He clarified in a statement that "fighter jets carried out airstrikes last night on several military structures and facilities belonging to Hezbollah in the regions of Khyam and Aita al-Shaab. The army also shelled areas in Khyam, Hula, Markaba, and Kafr Kila in southern Lebanon."
