A statement was issued by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division stating the following: "On June 9, 2024, the owner of a gas station in the town of Qab Elias in the Bekaa region was the victim of a theft of cash from within the station, carried out by two of his employees, who then fled in a van to an unknown location. They are: M. S. (born in 2006, Syrian) and M. D. (born in 2005, Syrian).
As a result of immediate follow-up by the Information Branch, it was determined that the suspects had headed to the Cola area. In the early morning of June 10, 2024, after careful surveillance, one of the patrols from the aforementioned branch was able to arrest the two suspects in "Cola" and seized the stolen amount, valued at 1,080 US dollars.
Upon interrogation, they confessed to the charges against them, and the necessary legal action was taken. They were referred to the relevant judicial authority, based on the directives of the competent court."
