Morocco Announces Measures to Stimulate Investment in the Green Hydrogen Sector

The Prime Minister of Morocco, Aziz Akhannouch, announced that high-potential land totaling nearly one million hectares has been allocated to activate "Morocco's offer" related to the development of green hydrogen, based on the royal vision. During a monthly accountability session in the Moroccan House of Representatives, focusing on "Urban Planning and Housing Policy and Its Impact on Economic Dynamics and Regional and Social Development," Akhannouch stated that this land will facilitate various projects aligned with King Mohammed VI's vision, which will enhance Morocco's competitiveness in the green hydrogen sector, a vital area. He emphasized that "the government has made land the main entry point for the development of this field."

He noted that "the construction sector is expected to benefit from various incentive measures taken in housing and urban planning in our country, thus achieving a significant improvement due to the ambitious programs set forth by the government," aimed at enabling the real estate sector to regain its attractiveness and create new job opportunities while overcoming obstacles for investors. In this context, Akhannouch pointed out that the government has undertaken a series of proactive measures to encourage investors, stressing that these measures have positively impacted the acceleration of investment contracts and processes.
