A security source reported today, Tuesday, that all Iraqi security forces have entered a "high alert" status. The source stated in an interview with "Baghdad Today" that "based on the approval of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, all units and security apparatuses belonging to the Ministries of Defense and Interior, as well as intelligence and national security and the Popular Mobilization Forces participating in the security plan for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, have entered a state of high alert." He added that "the alert status will continue until the conclusion of the pilgrimage ceremonies."
