Armed Gang Terrorizes Residents and Attacks Them

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division, issued the following statement: Recently, there have been numerous attacks on citizens by an armed gang in the Aramoun area, whose members terrorize residents, attack them, and fire shots in their direction. In response, the information division initiated its field procedures, and as a result of investigations and inquiries, successfully identified all members of the gang:

- J. H. (born in 1994, Lebanese)

- A. T. (born in 1994, Palestinian)

- H. T. (born in 2000, Palestinian)

- A. J. (born in 1991, Lebanese)

They have prior convictions for crimes including robbery, theft, gunfire, attempted murder, assault, and harm. Orders were given to the division's patrols to determine their location and arrest them.

On January 10, 2023, after surveillance and monitoring, their location in Aramoun was identified, and a tight ambush was set up. This resulted in the arrest of the first three members following an exchange of gunfire, while the fourth surrendered. Two military pistols were seized.

During the investigation, they confessed to the charges against them regarding their attacks on citizens, terrorizing them, and firing shots in their direction, with their latest attack occurring on January 8, 2023. They also admitted to drug use. Furthermore, the third arrested member acknowledged his involvement, on previous dates, with a gang specializing in car theft. Legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the relevant authority, based on the directive of the competent judiciary.
