The weather observer Ali Al-Ziyadi confirmed that Iraq will go through its strongest heat wave in years over the next two days. Al-Ziyadi stated to "Baghdad Today" that "the hot weather will continue to rise starting from Sunday (the first day of Eid), reaching its peak in the middle of next week (the second and third days of Eid), where temperatures may occasionally touch 51 degrees Celsius in some cities of the middle and southern Euphrates region, while the capital Baghdad will register 50 degrees Celsius."
He added that "there may be some areas where northwestern winds will be slightly active, especially in the east and south of the country, and the drop in temperature will happen before the end of the month." The weather observer indicated that "the heat wave that Iraq will experience is considered the most severe at this time in years, and it may lead to a new rise in temperatures, so caution must be taken and sun exposure should be avoided."
