The unemployment rate among Saudis decreased by 0.2 percentage points in the first quarter of this year, reaching 7.6%, compared to the last quarter of the previous year. Data from the Saudi General Authority for Statistics revealed on Sunday that the overall unemployment rate in the kingdom, which includes both Saudis and non-Saudis, rose by 0.1 points during the first quarter of this year, reaching 3.5% compared to the last quarter of 2023. The participation rate of Saudis in the workforce increased by one percentage point to 51.4%. The rate of employed Saudi women in the workforce stood at 35.8%. The General Authority for Statistics indicated that approximately 95.9% of unemployed Saudis would accept job offers in the private sector.
