Moroccan police have successfully unraveled the mystery of a gruesome murder that claimed the life of a woman in her forties inside an apartment in the outskirts of Tangier, northern Morocco, about a month ago. According to the website "Le 360", "elements of the royal gendarmerie in the regional command in the city of Nador (north) managed, yesterday Sunday, to arrest the main suspect involved in the murder, burning, and torture of a woman in her forties." The site cited special sources stating: "The suspect, for whom a national search warrant was issued, was apprehended after disappearing immediately following the crime that shook the residents of Tangier."
In late May, a suitcase was discovered in an agricultural area near Tangier, containing the body of the victim, who had been dismembered and burned inside the bag. The victim was a woman approximately 38 years old, originally from the outskirts of the city of Meknes, who initially worked in a hairdressing salon in Tangier before becoming a manager of a café there. It is believed that she was in a romantic relationship with the suspect.
