Hani Shata, the brother of Hattan Shata, the missing Saudi citizen in Cairo, confirmed that his brother's body has been found deceased. An official statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Interior confirmed that search efforts for the missing person led to the discovery of his body, stating that medical examinations indicated there was no suspicion of foul play regarding his death. The statement mentioned that Hattan's death was a result of his health conditions, and legal procedures were taken, informing the deceased’s brother and the Saudi embassy with all the details, according to the Egyptian security authorities' announcement.
Earlier sources from "Al Arabiya.net" indicated that Egyptian authorities found the body in one of the streets, and after examination, it was determined that the death was natural with no signs of criminality. In related details, these sources noted that the Saudi citizen Hattan Shata left his apartment in the Al Rehab area east of Cairo, leaving all his belongings behind, and communication with him ceased. Subsequently, Egyptian security agencies issued a general alert with the citizen's details and picture, sending it to all governorates and security directorates to search for him.
Authorities searched for Hattan in cities near the Al Tagammu area and in the October 6 and Sheikh Zayed areas, urging citizens to call the police if they found him. The Saudi embassy in Cairo announced in a formal statement that from the first day of the Saudi citizen’s disappearance, it began its procedures and communications with official and security entities in Egypt, which immediately initiated search and investigation actions regarding the citizen and the circumstances of his disappearance, utilizing available surveillance cameras.
They added that the surveillance footage recorded the Saudi citizen leaving his home, and they are in contact with the citizen's family and the security agencies, monitoring the search efforts. It is noteworthy that Hattan Shata is married and has a daughter; he had recently gone to Egypt for the purpose of studying and enhancing his expertise in his field of training consulting.
