New Record: Mohamed Salah Continues to Shine

Egyptian football star Mohamed Salah broke the record for the most goals scored in the Premier League during Liverpool's opening match of the season. With his second goal for Liverpool against Ipswich, Salah raised his tally in opening matches of the Premier League to 9 goals, surpassing all other league scorers. The Egyptian star previously shared the record with Frank Lampard, Wayne Rooney, and Alan Shearer. Salah's goal put Liverpool ahead 2-0 at Portman Road. Salah joined Liverpool in the summer of 2017 and has contributed to winning numerous titles with the club, including the UEFA Champions League. Salah's contract with Liverpool is expected to end in the summer of 2025, and there has been no official announcement regarding a contract renewal.
