Operation Leads to Arrest of Drug Distribution Network Members

The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division announced in a statement that "as a result of the daily follow-up by the Internal Security Forces in combating drug trafficking and promotion operations in various Lebanese regions, information was received regarding a network storing drugs inside an apartment in Burj Al-Barajneh and distributing them to dealers." It added: "Following this, the specialized units began their field and investigative procedures to uncover the identities of the network members and arrest them. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch was able to identify them, including: M. H. (born in 2000, Lebanese) distributor; F. S. (born in 1980, Lebanese) dealer; A. J. (born in 1992, Lebanese) dealer."

The statement continued: "On 14-05-2024, after careful surveillance, the branch's patrols managed to arrest the first member in the act in the Al-Kafaat area while he was distributing drugs to dealers on a motorcycle of type Sweet without plates, which was seized. Simultaneously, operations resulted in the arrest of the second and third members in the Al-Mamoura area while they were promoting drugs on two motorcycles without plates, types 'Landee' and '7150', which were seized. Upon searching them and the motorcycles, the following was found:

- 10 envelopes containing cocaine labeled 'Nose Net Extra', weighing approximately 2.6 grams each

- 10 envelopes containing cocaine labeled 'Nose Base Extra', weighing approximately 2.7 grams each

- Cash amounts and 4 mobile phones."

It concluded: "Upon searching the first member's home, the following was seized:

- 35 envelopes containing marijuana, totaling approximately 670 grams

- 59 envelopes containing cocaine labeled 'Nose Net Extra', weighing approximately 2.7 grams each

- 65 envelopes containing cocaine labeled 'Nose Base Extra', weighing approximately 2.7 grams each

- An envelope containing cocaine weighing approximately 3 grams

- Cash, a mobile phone, financial account notebooks, and personal papers and documents of individuals from different nationalities.

During the investigation, the first member admitted to storing and distributing drugs to dealers including the second and third members in the areas of the suburbs and Hadath, using the motorcycle he was arrested on. The second and third members confessed to the charges against them, admitting to promoting drugs in Al-Kafaat, Al-Mamoura, and surrounding areas on the motorcycles they were arrested on.

Legal measures were taken against them, and they, along with the seized items, were referred to the relevant authority based on judicial instructions, while efforts continue to arrest other suspects."
