King of Bahrain Calls for Action to Prevent Regional Threats

The King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, has urged the international community to acknowledge the conditions and challenges facing the region, advocating for clear and committed support to prevent dangers and confront destructive hegemony policies. During the weekly cabinet meeting chaired today at the Qudhibiya Palace, the Bahraini monarch stated that while protecting our interests and those of the world in the region, it is the duty of friendly nations and partners to consider the challenges faced and stand firmly against threats through comprehensive strategic cooperation agreements in security, economy, and development.

He emphasized the importance of rejecting disputes, uniting, and pursuing peace and good neighborliness in bilateral and regional relations, avoiding policies of aggression and proxy wars, and ensuring that decisions made by our countries stem from our own interests, based on cooperation to face challenges detrimental to regional stability, as seen in Gaza and the threats to navigation in the Red Sea, along with other emerging threats.

The King praised the efforts of the national committee responsible for coordinating and following up on initiatives proposed by Bahrain at the 33rd Arab Summit, known as the "Bahrain Summit," and all concerned parties that strive to enhance joint Arab action. He affirmed Bahrain's commitment to building bridges of cooperation with all brotherly and friendly countries to contribute to achieving peace, security, and stability in the region.

He highlighted the progress and development that the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states have achieved, providing high-quality services and elevated living standards worldwide. He stated that the Arab nation is a glorious one with a long and proud history, committed to the righteous Islamic faith, respectful of divine religions, proud of its solid heritage and moral excellence, and plays a vital positive role in the region and the world, in addition to being the most important energy source and its commercial routes linked to the entire globe.
