Rodri: The Germans Are Not Happy to Face Spain

Rodri, the player from the Spanish national team, expressed his delight at the 4-1 victory over Georgia on Sunday evening in the Round of 16 of the European Championship. Rodri said in statements reported by the newspaper AS: "It was a very complicated match, and the Georgian team put us in a difficult position." He added, "The team showed character and pride, and today was supposed to be more difficult because these are knockout matches, and no one makes it easy." He continued, "The key was that we showed great maturity, but there are some things we need to improve if we want to advance."

Regarding the upcoming match against Germany, he commented: "They will be playing at home, but we have our weapons, and they will not be happy to face us. We will give our utmost with our fans who will come to support us." The goals for the Spanish team were scored by Rodri, Fabián Ruiz, Nico Williams, and Dani Olmo in the 39th, 51st, 75th, and 83rd minutes, respectively. Meanwhile, Georgia's only goal was scored by Spain's defender, Ruben Lee Norman, accidentally into his own net in the 18th minute. After this victory, the Spanish national team will face the host country Germany in the quarter-finals next Friday.
