A recent U.S. intelligence report revealed that "the United States has spent about $1 billion so far on its military operations against the Yemeni Houthis." The American news site "Axios" reported, citing the intelligence report, that "the U.S. Navy has spent $1 billion on munitions to counter ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and armed drones in the region." It added: "Despite the failure of many Houthi attacks or their interception, the group’s stockpiles do not seem close to depletion, even with continued U.S. and British strikes against them." So far, U.S. and allied strikes have failed to stop the assaults in the Red Sea, according to "Axios." The U.S., along with Britain, has been conducting strikes against the Houthis for months in an attempt to halt the Yemen-based group's attacks, linked to Iran, on ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea using missiles and drones. The group claims it targets ships headed to or associated with Israel to support the Palestinians in Gaza, who have been under Israeli bombardment for over eight months.
