The International Tennis Integrity Agency announced today, Tuesday, that the world number one, Italian Jannik Sinner, tested positive for doping twice in March, but he will not be suspended. Sinner has been stripped of the prize money and points earned from his participation in the Indian Wells tournament. However, the integrity unit of the International Tennis Federation confirmed that Sinner will not face suspension, as an independent court ruled that he did not intentionally consume the banned substance. Sinner won the Cincinnati tournament yesterday, Monday, and will be a strong contender for the US Open title, which begins in New York next week.
