Detention of 11 Individuals in the Towns of Souairi and Riyaq - Bekaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Guidance announced that "as part of the security measures carried out by the military institution, the Intelligence Directorate in the town of Souairi – Bekaa, detained a citizen (A.A.) for attempting to steal a car and for being wanted for forming a theft gang. Tools for stealing vehicles were also confiscated from him. Additionally, 5 citizens were arrested in the Biqa'sarfin area – North for appearing in videos while firing weapons, and a quantity of military weapons was seized from them." Furthermore, a unit of the army in the Deir Ammar area – North detained citizens (K.A.) and (M.H.) and a Syrian national (K.A.) for attempting to smuggle 25 Syrians into Lebanese territory. Another unit raided the homes of citizens in the town of Riyaq – Bekaa following a dispute involving gunfire and arrested citizens (K.M.) and (A.M.), seizing a military weapon and a quantity of ammunition. The confiscated items were handed over, and investigations were initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the relevant judiciary.
