The Army Command, Directorate of Guidance, issued the following statement:
On March 6, 2023, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate apprehended citizen (A.M.) in the Zaharieh area of Tripoli for his involvement, along with others, in firing shots in the area. His brother (A.M.) was also detained for threatening the patrol officers with a firearm. A pistol, a military weapon, and a quantity of hashish were seized from them.
Following the arrests, the patrol raided an office belonging to citizen (M.M.), a member of the detained individuals' family, and discovered military weapons, ammunition, and radio equipment.
Additionally, another patrol in Tripoli arrested citizen (S.H.) for his participation in the gunfire during the altercation that occurred on February 11, 2023, in the Abi Samra area, which resulted in one death and several injuries.
The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the detainees were initiated under the supervision of the relevant judicial authorities.
