Egyptian media reports have revealed the names of the coaching staff that will assist Hossam Hassan if he is appointed as the new coach of the Pharaohs. Most Egyptian media outlets agree that the local federation is set to appoint Hossam Hassan as the new coach of the Pharaohs, replacing the Portuguese Rui Vitoria, who was dismissed after Egypt's exit in the Round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations currently taking place in Ivory Coast.
An emergency meeting of the Egyptian Football Association board, led by Gamal Allam and other members, is currently underway to approve the decision to appoint Hossam Hassan as the head coach of the national team.
If Hossam Hassan is appointed, it is expected that his assistant staff will include his brother Ibrahim Hassan as the Director of Football and Walid Badr as the Administrative Director. The Egyptian Football Association has not yet determined the status of the team’s doctor, Mohamed Abu Al-Ala, regarding his continuation or departure in light of discussions about assigning the role to Dr. Mohamed Anan, as suggested by Hossam Hassan.
