Ukrainian Special Forces Attack Russian Base in Syria

The Ukrainian newspaper "Kyiv Post" reports that special forces from Ukrainian intelligence have conducted military operations against Russian forces in Syria. The newspaper's website showcased exclusive videos and photos of an operation carried out by the "Khimik" group against Russian positions at the Kweiris airbase east of Aleppo on July 25, the day following Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow. The footage shows the destruction of a Russian electronic control vehicle and a drone attack on various targets at the Kweiris base itself, which has been used by Russia since 2015 for military purposes and for training foreign mercenaries participating in the war in Ukraine alongside Russian forces, according to "Kyiv Post." The same newspaper had published footage earlier in June of Ukrainian special forces attacking Russian checkpoints, fortifications, and patrols in southern Syria.
