Today, Friday, Speaker of the House Nabih Berri called for a joint session of the following committees: Finance and Budget, Administration and Justice, National Defense, Interior and Municipalities, Education, Higher Education and Culture, Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water, National Economy, Trade, Industry and Planning, Public Health, Labor and Social Affairs, Information Technology, and the Environment. The session is scheduled for 10:30 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, to discuss the following agenda:
1. Draft law to establish a disaster management authority.
2. Draft law regarding Decree No. 1936 aimed at protecting heritage sites and infrastructure.
3. Draft law aimed at exempting taxpayers in the provinces of the South and Nabatieh from financial and municipal fees related to contributions to the National Social Security Fund.
4. Draft law aimed at establishing an independent institution to manage state assets.
5. Draft law aimed at protecting legitimate bank deposits and returning them to their owners.
