Guardiola: I Will Not Return to Barcelona

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, spoke about rumors regarding his return to lead Barcelona. Recent reports indicated that Guardiola was among the names considered by Barcelona's management to replace Xavi Hernandez. When asked, "Is the door closed for a potential return to Barcelona in the future?" Guardiola responded, in comments highlighted by transfer expert Fabrizio Romano on his X account: "Yes… the door is closed."

He added: "We will talk to Barcelona about Joao Cancelo's situation, and we will try to find the best solution." He continued, "If Joao wants to stay at Barcelona and both clubs can agree on the fees, Cancelo will play with Barca again... We are working on that, but he is a player contracted to us."

Guardiola went on: "There are many rumors in the media about Bernardo Silva's future, but no one has contacted us so far to sign him." He concluded: "We have not received any calls from Barcelona or any other club... He is an excellent player, and I hope he stays with us at Manchester City."
