French media reported that a member of the Qatari royal family was robbed at a train station during the Paris Olympics. A police source told "Le Parisien" that 11 luxury bags, containing valuable personal belongings belonging to the wife of the Emir of Qatar's brother, were stolen. The incident occurred on a high-speed train (TGV) connecting Nice and Paris on Saturday, July 27.
The newspaper mentioned that an investigation has been opened and is being handled by the National Police (CPN) in Toulon. The wife of the Emir's brother, who was accompanied by her domestic staff, boarded the train coming from Nice and heading to Lyon station in Paris.
It was noted that 11 luxurious "Hermès" bags were reported stolen, and these bags contained "valuable personal belongings." The train was stopped for twenty minutes at Toulon station for search operations, but neither the bags nor the thieves were found. The newspaper stated that the French National Railway Company declined to comment on the matter.
