General Electric Saudi Turbines has launched its first "H-Class" gas turbine unit, attended by Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman. General Electric Saudi Advanced Turbines is recognized as a joint venture between the Saudi Arabian Industrial Investments Company "Dussur" and "General Electric," listed on the New York Stock Exchange, to manufacture high-performance gas turbines and their components in Saudi Arabia. This venture aims to meet the increasing demand for electrical energy in the country. Launched in June 2017, the partnership intends to fulfill most of the annual demand for gas turbines in the Kingdom. The partnership agreement stipulates collaboration between Dussur and General Electric to enhance Saudi manufacturing capabilities by increasing the production of gas turbine components, particularly the high-performance "H-Class" turbines, and improving operational flexibility and efficiency levels.
