No Israeli or Palestinian Delegations in Cairo

A high-level Egyptian source denied on Wednesday that a negotiation delegation from Israel or Palestine had moved to Egypt to discuss a ceasefire deal regarding the Gaza Strip. The source confirmed to "Cairo News" that "Israel has not informed Egypt of its response to the ceasefire proposal, and what is being circulated are Israeli leaks to cover Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's speech in Congress."

The source added that "the Israeli Prime Minister is trying to preempt his address to the U.S. Congress with false claims about allowing injured Palestinians to exit... and making progress on the ceasefire." As reported, pressure is mounting on the Israeli Prime Minister from families of hostages to reach an agreement, coinciding with his visit to the United States.

Israeli media revealed that Netanyahu ordered before traveling to Washington the dispatch of a delegation tasked with negotiating with Hamas to reach an agreement regarding the hostages on Thursday, without specifying the destination of this delegation. It clarified that "the negotiating delegation has received the green light to advance in the negotiations."
