The medical centers of the American University of Lebanon, Rizk Hospital and St. John Hospital, announced the launch of a mobile clinic to coincide with the centenary of the university’s establishment and to support the Lebanese community continuously. The mobile clinic will tour 26 towns in various Lebanese regions over six months to provide essential medical care and support.
A specialized team of doctors, nurses, and relevant staff will participate in this initiative, which is part of the activities the medical centers have chosen to implement this special year. This specialized team offers comprehensive free medical consultations and will conduct tests for individuals with limited access to healthcare, contributing to the early detection of several health issues and informing patients on how to prevent them. The examinations include the following:
- Electrocardiogram
- HbA1c test (diabetes inventory)
- Liquid Panels & Glucose levels (lipid and blood sugar tests)
- Hematocrit & Hemoglobin tests
This medical mission of the mobile clinic began on June 8 in Akkar and will continue until next September. The accompanying team aims to provide healthcare to as many residents of the targeted villages and towns as possible, addressing all their questions and concerns to make the most out of this visit.
Once again, the medical centers of the American University of Lebanon, through this initiative, emphasize their important and enduring goal of standing by the Lebanese community without any discrimination and continuing to serve it, in line with their motto "Medicine with Humanity."
