Lebanon won six medals (one silver and five bronzes) at the Asian Taekwondo Championship organized by the Lebanese Taekwondo Federation, under the sponsorship of the Commander of the Lebanese Army, General Joseph Aoun, and under the supervision of the Asian Taekwondo Union at the Nohad Nawfal Stadium in Dhour El Choueir. On the final day of the continental championship, the country of the cedars earned two bronze medals in team events for both males and females in the "Poomsae" (forms) category.
Specifically, the Lebanese male team, consisting of Anthony Matar, Mark Khoury, and Anthony Khoury, won the bronze medal in the boys' category (12-14 years). For the females, the team made up of Tatiana Aliwan, Talia Diab, and Karil Ibrahim secured a bronze medal in the girls' category (12-14 years). Lebanese athlete Yasmina Abou Daher received the award for best fighting spirit. Lebanon had previously won four medals in the "Kyorugi" (sparring) category, bringing the total number of medals earned by the country of the cedars at the Asian Championship to six.
Additionally, the "Beirut Open" will commence on Monday, September 11, continuing until Wednesday, September 13.
