Major General Abbas Ibrahim continued his visit to the French capital, where he participated last night in a meeting organized by the "Arab and Foreign Correspondents Association in Paris" (Trilogue), attended by the association's president, media figure Eli Masbounji, alongside several journalists.
The meeting began with a speech from General Ibrahim about "Operation Flood of Al-Aqsa," where he explained the uniqueness of this operation that resulted in a complete failure of the Israeli security system, highlighting the significance of the context in which the operation took place. He stated, "Peace is necessary, but a just and comprehensive peace."
On the Lebanese front, General Ibrahim clarified that Lebanon is in a state of clear waiting due to the intertwining of the presidential vacuum with regional and international interests. He explained that the negative aspect is the adaptation of the majority of Lebanese to the existing reality, which has created a sense of reassurance for the authorities and external parties, exchanging accusations and responsibilities for the collapse and the continuation of the vacuum, while evading the implementation of reforms. This situation contributes only to consolidating Lebanon as an open arena for all catastrophic possibilities.
In conclusion, General Ibrahim noted, "In the current situation, only Saudi Arabia has managed to stabilize the deteriorating path towards normalization." He affirmed, "There will be no peace in the region without the Palestinian people receiving their full rights." He stated, "What I am saying is a political assessment and conviction: either the Lebanese, Palestinian, and Syrian rights are recognized, or there will be no stability and peace in the region."
