Death of the Rapid Support Forces Field Commander in Blue Nile Abdel Rahman Al-Bishi

The advisor to the commander of the Rapid Support Forces in Sudan confirmed the death of the field commander of the Rapid Support Forces in Blue Nile, Abdel Rahman Al-Bishi. Close sources to the Rapid Support Forces indicated that the commander of the Rapid Support Forces in the Sinnar and Blue Nile sector, Major Abdel Rahman Al-Bishi, was killed this morning as a result of an airstrike conducted by the Sudanese army on Rapid Support locations in the city of Sinnar. Meanwhile, social media pages associated with the Rapid Support Forces reported the news of his death this morning. Al-Bishi is considered one of the most important leaders of the Rapid Support Forces in central Sudan and one of its founders. He is also regarded as the commander of the attack on the city of Senja, the capital of Sinnar State, which was recently taken over by the Rapid Support Forces. It is noteworthy that Sudan has been experiencing a war since April 2023 between the forces loyal to army commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the Rapid Support Forces led by his former deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Daglo. The conflict in Sudan has resulted in tens of thousands of deaths and displaced more than ten million people, according to the United Nations.
