Meeting with Ambassadors of the Five Permanent Members of the Security Council

The caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdullah Bou Habib, held a meeting at the Grand Serail with the ambassadors of the five permanent members of the Security Council: the United States, France, Britain, China, and Russia, as well as representatives of the non-permanent member states present in Lebanon: the ambassadors of Algeria, Japan, Switzerland, and South Korea. During the meeting, the Lebanese constants regarding the regional situation were reaffirmed, most importantly the priority of implementing United Nations resolutions, particularly resolution 1701. The Prime Minister also received the Director General of State Security, Major General Antoine Saliba.
