The Paraguayan Olympic Committee expelled the beautiful swimmer Luana Alonso, who announced her retirement last week, from the team’s base in the Olympic Village in Paris due to her "inappropriate behavior." She had been going out at night and posted photos from her visit to the famous amusement park, Disneyland.
Alonso (20 years old) announced her retirement from swimming last week after finishing sixth in the 100m butterfly event and failing to qualify for the semifinals. She did not leave the Paraguayan delegation's premises in the Olympic Village as she remained in Paris, but the officials requested that she leave the Olympic Village and refused to allow her to stay until the end of the competitions on August 11.
The Paraguayan Olympic Committee issued a statement on Monday stating that Alonso's inappropriate behavior led officials to expel her from the Olympic Village. The statement continued, "Alonso's presence creates an inappropriate atmosphere within the Paraguayan delegation, as she refused to stay in the sports village and chose to sleep outside of it."
Alonso had been going out and exploring Paris, capturing photos with Spanish tennis star Rafael Nadal and posting a picture near Disneyland, which angered the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, who stated that her presence was certainly unwelcome.
