A number of traders in the Egyptian market have revealed that the PepsiCo group has stopped supplying the "Lipton Ice Tea" soft drinks, which were very popular in Egypt, following a boycott of companies supporting Israel. Traders told "Cairo 24" that the disappearance of "Lipton Ice Tea" came after several months of boycotts against companies supporting Israel, including Pepsi and Lipton, which were at the forefront of the boycott movement.
Online sales platforms for soft drinks and food products have shown that "Lipton Ice Tea" has completely disappeared from the market for some time. Operators in other retail chains mentioned that "Lipton Ice Tea" was very popular during the summer seasons and had garnered popularity over the years before vanishing from the market in recent months. Hazem El-Monofy, head of the foodstuffs division at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, stated in a comment to Cairo 24 that "Lipton Ice Tea" has indeed been absent from the market for a while.
