The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed, has issued a decision to form the "Council of Intelligent Autonomous Systems" in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, aiming to enhance a supportive and attractive environment for the development and use of intelligent autonomous systems.

The Council’s main functions and responsibilities include proposing and establishing a comprehensive strategy for the development and use of intelligent systems, conducting relevant activities, and ensuring their safe operation in accordance with best practices, in coordination with all concerned parties. The Council will also work to attract investments in these areas, contributing to establishing the Emirate as a leading global destination in this field.

Additionally, the Council oversees plans related to supporting and encouraging activities associated with intelligent autonomous systems, as well as plans for preparing the necessary infrastructure for their development and use, and monitoring implementation in coordination with relevant parties. The Council's responsibilities also include proposing incentives, initiatives, and projects necessary to achieve its goals, suggesting legislations, conducting research and developmental studies related to its field of work, forming supportive teams of experts, consultants, and technicians, and coordinating with relevant federal entities.
