Arrest of Human Trafficking Suspect in Lebanon

The Directorate General of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "as part of the daily follow-up conducted by the Internal Security Forces to pursue individuals wanted by the judiciary across various Lebanese regions, its specialized units intensified their field and intelligence efforts to identify the whereabouts of the mentioned individuals for the purpose of arresting them. As a result of intensive investigations and inquiries, the Information Branch was able to pinpoint the location of one of the individuals wanted by the judiciary under two arrest warrants for human trafficking, identified as M. M. (born in 1986, Lebanese). On 23-7-2024, following a careful observation and monitoring process, the branch's patrol arrested him in a well-planned ambush in the Al-Abda area. The necessary legal action was taken against him, and he was handed over to the relevant unit based on the directive of the competent judiciary."
