Egyptian security forces arrested Zamalek Club and national team player Ahmed Fattouh on Sunday morning after he fatally hit a young man with his car in the North Coast area. This followed reports of a traffic accident on the highway in the North Coast, which caused traffic to stop. Upon investigation, it was determined that Fattouh was responsible for the incident.
The investigations revealed that the player was driving on the highway accompanied by his friend, Zamalek and Egypt national team goalkeeper Mohamed Sobhi. Suddenly, he lost control of the steering wheel, causing the car to veer left and right, hitting a young man named Ahmed El-Sayed, who was passing by on the side of the road.
Authorities arrested the player and confiscated his car, while the body of the young man was transported to El-Alamein Hospital. The authorities also decided to conduct a drug test on the player to determine if he was under the influence while driving. The prosecution was notified and took over the investigation. The incident caused traffic congestion on the highway, and traffic officers promptly arrived at the scene to clear the remnants of the accident and resume traffic flow.
