Title: Ex-Wife's Warning About the Child Attacker in Annecy

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" revealed on Sunday that the ex-wife of Syrian refugee Abed Maseeh Hanoon, who stabbed six people including four children in a knife attack at a resort in the Alps, had previously warned French and Swiss authorities about him months ago. However, she indicated that authorities ignored her warnings after he left home eight months ago. A close friend stated, "They should have listened to her when she called them. This could have possibly been prevented."

It became clear that Hanoon experienced psychological trauma after fighting in the Syrian civil war. A family friend living near Gothenburg in Sweden revealed that Hanoon left his Syrian wife and their three-year-old daughter eight months ago after being denied Swedish citizenship. His wife informed immigration services that he was not well.

The friend mentioned that her calls and emails went ignored, adding, "We condemn what he did. No one can explain why he did this. During national service in 2012, Hanoon and his wife were attacked by a jihadist group." He stated, "He was the only one who survived in his team." Shortly after, he fled to Turkey, stayed in a refugee camp, and then arrived in Sweden.

The Syrian refugee had been seen in the park every day in recent weeks. An investigating source said, "He would rest in a cardboard box at night, swim in Lake Annecy first thing in the morning, and then spend the day in the park." Hanoon appeared before judges yesterday. Prosecutor Laine Bonnet-Matthis stated in a press conference that he refused to answer questions from the judges and police and that he would be detained.
