Emirati artist Dha'en Jum'a Al-Tamimi passed away today, Thursday, at the age of 75, after nearly half a century in the world of theatrical and television arts, where he was one of its early pioneers and founders. Emirati artists and local media mourned the late artist, whose funeral prayer will be held today, Thursday, after Maghrib prayer at Al-Sahaba Mosque in the Emirate of Sharjah.
Al-Tamimi began his career as a teacher in UAE schools before entering the world of art and theatrical acting, subsequently transitioning to television in the 1970s. Some of the series he participated in during his career include "Qawm Antar" in 1974, "Fawazir Juha" in 1974, "Zaman Al-Tayyibin" in 2015, and "Saa Al-Sifr" in 2016.
The artist worked alongside fellow artists Sultan Al-Sha'er, Mohammed Al-Junaihi, and Jaber Naghmoush. Emirati artist Habib Ghuloom noted in his eulogy for Al-Tamimi that he was one of the pioneers of art in the UAE and contributed to the establishment of the renaissance of Emirati and Gulf drama.
