The Sale of the Most Famous Hat from a Movie at Auction

In a public auction held in Los Angeles, a hat described as the most famous hat that has appeared in a movie sold for a record amount of $630,000. The iconic "fedora" was worn by stuntman Dean Cundey, the stand-in for American actor Harrison Ford in the film Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, produced by Hollywood in 1984. The hat was made by the Herbert Johnson Hat Company, adorned with foam padding and the initials of Indiana Jones "I." It was part of the personal collection of Cundey, who passed away last year. The sale price exceeded estimates, reflecting the enduring popularity and nostalgia for the famous Indiana Jones film series. The auction also featured many other Hollywood film memorabilia, including items from "Star Wars," as well as from "Harry Potter," and a suit worn by Daniel Craig in a "James Bond" film.
